Mango sorbet is the perfect dessert for the hot summer months!
Cool, refreshing ingredients and no oven necessary.
With just three simple ingredients and a little time in the freezer, this delicious, no sugar added mango sorbet is as simple as it gets.
Frozen fruit is a total summer staple for us. It can be transformed into smoothies, sorbets and ice creams, or thawed and enjoyed as is. Frozen fruit is frozen at peak ripeness so you’re getting top-tier fruit, in and out of season.
As a familiar song tells us, lime and coconut are a perfect pair, but clearly there’s room for one more. Mango, coconut, and lime give ultimate tropical, lay-by-the-beach, summer vibes and we’re here for it! This is a super impressive dessert that you can whip together for your next summer party or warm night in.
It does require some ahead-of-time planning as it will need to sit in the freezer for a minimum of two hours so be sure to consider that before getting started.
We love this dessert anytime, but it is particularly tasty after a heavy BBQ meal.
It’s light and refreshing—the perfect night cap.
Enjoy!
Here’s what goes into our delicious mango sorbet:
We have only tried this with frozen mango, which can be found in most freezer aisles.
If you only have fresh mango, you can peel it, dice it into cubes, and freeze the cubes until solid.
Lime juice can be fresh or bottled lime juice (be sure there is no added sugar as this will change the nutritional makeup of this recipe).
Mango and lime go so well together and gives this sorbet total tropical vibes.
Coconut cream has a higher fat content than coconut water and is what gives this sorbet its creaminess.
If you can only find coconut water, you can totally use that too; you just may get a slightly icier texture.
The consistency of this recipe needs a liquid to help it blend smoothly (even in a very high powered blender). Start by adding ½ cup at a time until all ingredients are incorporated.
