Golden Milk Recipe

Golden (turmeric) milk could be your next favorite functional drink. If you're skeptical about adding spices to your milk, we get it. But you might be surprised how delicious this is. Our turmeric milk recipe is balanced with cinnamon, ginger, honey, and of course, black pepper, shown to help enhance curcumin absorption in the body when consumed together. Plus, it only takes 5 minutes to make. It's hard to beat that!

Ingredients
  

  • cups unsweetened plain almond milk
  • cups light coconut milk
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick
  • tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp honey

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients.
  • Whisk to combine over medium heat.
  • Let the mixture come to a boil.
  • Turn off the heat and adjust flavor if necessary. You can add more sweetener to taste and more ginger or turmeric for extra flavor and spice.
  • Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer.
  • Serve in a mug and enjoy!

Notes

Sweetener of choice works as a replacement for maple syrup (stevia, maple syrup, etc.)
Best when fresh but leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat on the microwave or stove.
